Faunal species

  The geopark encompasses 355 species of wild vertebrates, under 90 families and 34 orders. Among them, there are 54 species of Mammalia under 22 families and eight orders; 140 species of Aves under 35 families and 14 orders; 39 species of Reptilia under nine families and three orders; 30 species of Amphibia under eight families and two orders; and 92 species of Pisces under 16 families and seven orders (Tian Qilin, Li Jinsheng et al., 2016).
  The Geopark is home to 355 species of wild vertebrates, belonging to 90 families and 34 orders. Of them, there are: 54 species of mammals under 22 families and eight orders; 140 species of birds under 35 families and 14 orders; 30 species of amphibians under eight families and two orders; and 92 species of fish under 16 families and seven orders. Among them, two species are listed as animals under first-class state protection; while 11 specie are listed as animals under second-class state protection (Table 1-2).
