Tuwang Palace - Babu Hall

Tuwang (Tujia King) Palace is located in Furong Town and consists of two main buildings: Youyang Palace and Babu Hall. It was established by Mr. Qu in 2013. Youyang Palace is the core attraction within the scenic area for visitors to explore, while Babu Hall is the first high-end leisure resort transformed by local designers into a traditional Tujia stilted house structure. It is built along the mountains and nestled by the water. Each guest room is themed around the scenic beauty and Tujia culture of Furong Town. The use of wooden beds and walls made of stacked bluestones provides guests with the most natural and healthy living experience.

Tuwang Palace is an important partner of the Xiangxi Geopark. Mr. Qu naturally combines the rushing waterfalls, stilted houses clinging to cliffs, the aroma of smoked bacon on Tujia stoves, brewing tea in cauldrons, grilling sticky rice cakes with fire tongs, as well as intangible cultural heritages such as "Tujia Mountain Songs" and "Boatmen’s Work Song on Youshui River" to create an immersive travel experience for visitors. Furthermore, he has even pioneered the development of a geographical indication product for Yongshun County, the purple mold tea, leading innovation in the tourism development of Furong Town.

Since its opening in 2016, Tuwang Palace has been honored as the most beautiful private house-based hotel experience spot in Xiangxi and became a popular destination for online influencers in 2018.
