Three Thematic Events in Xiangxi Global Geopark attract public attention

On August 21, it was learned from Xiangxi Prefectural Geoparks Administration Office that three thematic activities, including "Xiangxi Global Geopark TikTok Competition", "Xiangxi Global Geopark’s First Session of Top 10 Beautiful Scenes Selection Campaign" and "First Photography Competition of Xiangxi Global Geopark, are being held in Xiangxi. These events, sponsored by Xiangxi Party Committee’s Network Information Office, and organized by Xiangxi Prefecture Geoparks Administration Office, Xiangxi Prefectural Tourism, Radio and Television Bureau, and Xiangxi Prefectural Photographers Society and other related organizations, have won favor from the general public. In just two weeks, these events attracted the attention of fans of TikTok and photography enthusiasts from all over China.

In the TikTok videos under the topic of " Visiting Xiangxi Global Geopark", many netizens have made commenteds after having enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Xiangxi Global Geopark. Up to now, more than 200 videos have been collected for this competition, with a play of more than 45 million times. Since its launching, the "First Photography Competition of Xiangxi Global Geopark" has received nearly 200 applicants, and photographers from Harbin also expressed their willingness to contribute. "The First Top 10 Beautiful Scenery Selection Campaign of Xiangxi Global Geopark" has also kicked off, with online voting to be launched soon.

The three major thematic competitions are designed to show the rich geosites and jaw-dropping tourism resources of Xiangxi Global Geopark, further promote the development of tourism industry in Xiangxi Prefecture, and lift local people out of poverty and allow them to become rich. The events will last until September, when the organizers will hold the "Opening Ceremony of Xiangxi Global Geopark" at the Xiangxi Global Geopark Museum.
